  I got a Christmas gift from my wife. Went to get a larger size. Seems like I get bigger every year 😂. One shirt had the tag on it the other did not. The tag was not ripped only the plastic string. They said no returns without tags as of Jan 1st 2026, but the mall policy says there is a January 11th grace period. They wouldn't return the one item. Even though they returned the same item just different colour. The tag was undamaged and could be placed back on. They have lost a life long customer at the Waterloo Conestoga Mall location. "Tracy" is a poor manager/customer service representatives. She is literally preventing people from shopping at the store she works.

  Terrible shopping experience. Purchased two tops over Christmas for my spouse. They are now refusing tp exchange one of them because the tag was removed in trying it on at home. We still have the tags on the other shirt and the tags for the one we are exchanging and the receipt. Still refused to exchange the one shirt. Just lost me as a repeat customer. Spoke specifically to Jennifer and Tracy at Conestoga Mall and Alonso at Head Office. It's a new policy as of January even though my purchases were made in Dec. In addition I found out the item is now on for 60% off and the manager did not do the refund correctly ad I should have gotten money back with the exchange of the shirt that she exchanged with the tags.

  I visited the Conestoga mall location on a Friday night with both my daughters, a week and a half before Christmas. The store was very busy as it had great sales. Yet, all the merchandise was properly folded in its place and the store looked so neat, this made it so easy to browse. They also had several staff on the floor and in the dressing room to help. Beth and Hannah were exceptionally great, they helped us out on the floor and in the dressing room. I hadn't shopped at AE in years but this experience definitely brought them back to the top of my list. Thank you for being wonderful 👍🏻

  Always love shopping here. The clothes feel like home , and I love when they get the sales on . Great quality clothes and styles are extremely creative .

  I had an awesome customer service experience with Jake at American Eagle in Conestoga Mall, Waterloo. He asked all the right questions to help me pick out several of Christmas gifts and gave great suggestions based on what I told him. He was super friendly and really knew his stuff, which made the whole shopping trip enjoyable. Definitely recommend shopping there — and make sure you ask for Jake!
