  I purchased a pair of boxer shorts from American Eagle, but they didn’t fit me properly. At the time of purchase, the associate clearly informed me that I would be able to exchange them within 30 days. However, when I returned to the store today, I was told that boxer shorts are not eligible for exchange. The way this was communicated felt quite rude and disappointing.

  This was an incredibly frustrating experience from start to finish. I placed an order for two items and was told it would be ready in about a week. Instead, it was marked ready the very next day, which I wasn’t expecting at all. Because of that, I didn’t see the pickup email in time. Five days later, I get an email saying my order was cancelled. I called the store as soon as they opened, and the employee on the phone assured me they would hold the items until the end of the day and that I could simply come in and pay in-store. So my boyfriend goes to pick it up, only to be told the order is gone and the items have somehow “disappeared.” No explanation, no accountability, nothing. Just a complete waste of time. telling a customer you’ll hold items and then not following through is unacceptable. The lack of organization and communication here is honestly shocking. I won’t be shopping from this location again.

  Working retail all my life has made my expectations so high when I’m out shopping in other stores. I went into the Conestoga location this week and had one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time being helped by Milly, Hanna and Tracey. Not only were they attentive to my needs and were able to answer all my questions but they were busily helping several other customers at the same time. It was great to see such authentic smiles, high energy and pure happiness from these ladies! This will be a location I come back to for sure!!

  I wish I could give a 10/10 review! The store is so organized and easy to shop. The staff are so welcoming and they know their stuff! I was helped the other day by Tracy, Lexi and Brooke and they were amazing! I used to shop here all the time but stopped for a while when the service wasn’t the best but the last few times I’ve been in you can really see that Tracy has turned things around! Great training, great service and great organization! Kudos to the team.

  I’ve read some of the reviews when I went to add my own and it’s frustrating to me that people don’t understand that the employees don’t make the company policies, or make the prices. They are just there doing their minimum wage jobs being treated like garbage by so many customers on a regular basis. They are doing the best they can and people are entitled to having a bad day. That being said I think the staff at the Conestoga location are extremely knowledgeable. The store has never looked better and the new manager is amazing and very helpful. She has grown the team to be very caring and customer focused! Great job AE Conestoga!
