  I recently visited Lululemon and had a very disappointing experience that felt completely misaligned with the brand’s reputation for guest experience and connection. While speaking with a few educators about product (as any engaged guest naturally would), I was approached by one of the Assistant Store Managers, Alessandro. Rather than fostering a welcoming environment, he interrupted the interaction with a noticeably insincere tone, stating, “please do not distract my lovely educators.” The delivery came across as condescending and dismissive, wrapped in what felt like a forced customer service voice rather than genuine care. It immediately shifted the atmosphere from warm and engaging to uncomfortable and unwelcoming. As someone familiar with the brand and its emphasis on metrics like ACE and creating meaningful guest connections, this interaction missed the mark entirely. Strong leadership should elevate the in-store experience, not diminish it. It’s disappointing to see behavior like this from a member of management, especially in a company known for prioritizing people-first experiences. I left feeling unwelcome, which is not something I’ve ever associated with this brand before.
