  I had such a fantastic experience at the Sporting Life on Yonge Street! A young gentleman on the floor, Davis helped me choose both a pair of running shoes and hiking boots, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Davis was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely interested in understanding what I needed. He took the time to ask questions about how and where I’d be using the shoes, made excellent recommendations, and ensured the fit was absolutely right. I never felt rushed or pressured. Sporting Life is lucky to have Davis representing their brand!

  Sven was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and patient as he helped me choose the right pair of running shoes, given my recent history of plantar fasciitis. I couldn’t be happier - or more confident - with my purchase of the New Balance 1080s, thanks to Sven. I would highly recommend this Sporting Life store solely based on this very positive customer experience.

  Even though I didn’t come away with a purchase I had a great experience at Sporting Life when I was helped by Sven. I was looking for a specific pair of sneakers that were supposed to be in store but the computer said they were sold out. Sven went downstairs and looked again and found my size. I appreciated him taking another look and thanking me for my patience. He was so pleasant and nice.

  Visited the store for the first time and I was completely amazed by the customer service that was provided. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by the security officer with a pleasant smile which is very rare nowadays. I continued to browse the store and was greeted by Sarah which is a gem. Sarah asked if I needed assistance or help finding anything. I mentioned it was my first time in the store and Sarah took the time and walked me through several departments of the store. I fell in love with the selection of footwear. I did make a purchase and I’m very happy with my overall experience. Thank you Sarah and the footwear team for your assistance. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this location

  I have been a Sporting Life customer for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. My child is in the Junior Ski Program. In December, your own staff told us to exchange boots first and order skis later because her size (140) was out of stock. We followed that advice. Our online order was cancelled due to no stock, and we searched multiple stores—none had the size. We finally reordered a different model and didn’t receive the skis until early February. When I returned in February 2026 with my three children to return the old skis, we were told it was “over time.” After waiting 30+ minutes, the ski manager Jonathan offered only 25% store credit, showed zero apology, and impatiently said: “No stock is not our problem. Why should I make an exception?” Unbelievable. Inventory failures caused by Sporting Life, yet the customer is punished. Even worse, a manager at a major retailer with no flexibility, no authority, and no customer service skills. After wasting over an hour, nothing was resolved. I was forced to return the newly purchased skis instead. This program is misleading and completely not family-friendly. I will never join it again and will seriously reconsider shopping at Sporting Life.
