- DSDanielle sDec 14, 20251.0I went to Tiffany looking for earrings that I purchased for my mom 10 years ago( hoping that it was still in production as she lost her pair). I was greeted in professional manner, asked for my reason to Tiffany and I informed the person. I was directed into area where all the earrings were displayed and was greeted by Jennifer in a condescending manner and everything went down hill from there. I explained to her what I was looking for and described the earrings in detail and Jennifer immediately said No, Tiffany doesn’t make those type of earrings. I asked her if it’s possible to locate my profile as I purchased a few items from Tiffany’s in the past and she said well if it’s been 10 years since you purchased the earrings, you won’t have a profile and your phone number most likely changed. I advised that my phone number hasn’t changed and if it’s possible to try to conduct the search for my profile. Jennifer was able to located my profile and said wow you purchased items at Tiffany ( indication that she didn’t believe me from the start) she was able to locate the earrings I purchased on my profile and advised me that they discontinued the earrings shortly after I purchased them. She showed me other earrings but the Tiffany Lock Earrings in white gold captured my eyes and I asked to see the earrings. Jennifer immediately declined the request and informed me it’s out of my budget, in which we NEVER discuss my budget and told me to try Bittersweet for jewelry. I kindly dismissed myself and walked over to Cartier and purchased a love bracelet for my mom without any discrimination whatsoever. I have concluded that Tiffany customer service rep are trained to judge their customers. If you are not specific demographic to their standards , they automatically assume that you can’t afford their items, which is ashamed.
