Extremely rude and miserable cashier served me with a strangely rude attitude. They wear no nametag.

Terrible experience, went today and had 2 items marked as a markdown but was charged the original price, I am going back to Montreal today and such a hassle to go back in store. Check your receipts-- I usually do but I had a 3 year old running around and wanted to do a quick purchase.

I placed several in-store pickup orders totaling approximately $1,100 CAD at the Toronto Bloor Street flagship. One item was missing from a pickup bag, and another arrived stained. I raised this immediately at checkout. The issue itself was minor. The response from the store manager was not. Rather than resolving the situation, she repeatedly emphasized internal packing procedures and implied customer responsibility. The tone was dismissive and, at points, insulting. As a Pinnacle-tier customer, being treated as though I might be responsible for a missing $34 item after spending four figures in the same visit was unacceptable. Other staff members were professional and helpful, which only highlighted the poor management handling. This experience fell well below what I expect from a flagship store.

Worst customer service. The store was practically empty. I waited 10 minutes to be helped and no one helped me. The only attendant who was on the floor wouldn’t even acknowledge me because she was too busy attending a customer that was pretty obviously her friend, until I asked her if there was someone else who could assist as she was avoiding acknowledgment in any way. Waited an additional 5 minutes to the initial 10, and then walked out. I ended up buying what I wanted online, but I would have rather been able to see it in person first.

Spoiler alert! This company doesn’t care about customers. Sounds boring, I know. But hear this. I returned a bag that I bought online for $280, and when I returned it at the store, they didn’t care why I’d returned it. $280 is a fair amount, ie A Lot, for a middling tote with barely there features (as it turned out). They didn’t ask why I’d returned it (they’ll never know their fatal flaw), nor did they ask if there was anything they could do or if I’d even like to shop a bit for something I might like. Nothing. Just an exchange that assured me I am only a consumer in their eyes and barely a human at that. Wait. Who’s that I see? Alo? Or should I say…Halo!
