  First time I've been . Only one I've ever seen . Never have looked for one . Expensive outdoor wear store . Like all specialist type stores .

  Went in during their "Boxing day sale of 60% off everything" only to find the small print "only on ticketed and selected items". Didn't apply to any of the duffel bags I took to the cash, so I just walked out without buying anything. Never going back to ANY L.L. Bean store ever again. Deceptive advertising and staff never even offered me 10% off.

  As far as the store goes it’s mint. Great stuff in there or high quality. I’ve been waiting for years to have a chance to go to LLBean for their fly fishing rods and apparel, was a bucket list experience for me. Getting a new LLBean in Kingston was very exciting, but there is not a single hunting or fishing item in the store. Super super disappointing. The store layout and in stock clothing options for everyday items is terrific though.

  I hope our experience of legendary customer service, I know as I'm a former Manager of a high end store, is shared with L.L.Beans upper Management. My husband and I went to L.L.Bean in Kingston Ontario Canada this evening and we were so impressed with everything. The new store is very welcoming, bright, beautifully merchandised, well laid out, with friendly staff promptly greeting clients, and all doing their very best to offer amazing customer service. All Canadians shopping for Christmas hopefully will be respectfully patient as all L.L.Bean staff in Canada are brand new in their positions, hence in the necessary learning curve, as this quality brand is also completely new in Canada. All staff were truly caring to me, and went above and beyond to be at service to my husband and I. Many wonderfully patient customers shopping also politely cared too and gladly waited their turn for service. Thank you all! I'm saying thank you as a massive wind storm on April 15 2022 Good Friday a brick was flung off a second story building into my skull. So I'm now unfortunately fully disabled. I have a fractured skull in multiple places, a hole to my brain, hence a traumatic brain injury that should have killed me, and a fractured ankle with a torn ligament. A very young lady kindly greeted us, and when she didn't know the coat I was looking for she immediately got a staff member who was more familiar with all the many new products. Jolene helped me find an excellent fit with L.L.Bean's warm, fully insulated and lined, 100% very soft lambswool classic duffel coat in a beautiful navy. Young Elliot in footwear helped me purchase the L.L.Bean classic 7" boot with a new design of a front zip so that I can fit my permanently slightly larger, injured ankle, in full comfort that is toasty warm, water proof, excellent quality, made proudly in the USA, and that I can easily get on and off without hurting my ankle or bending over with my fractured skull! My last quality made in the USA L.L.Bean classic lace up boots lasted 25 years. I'm glad I can go to the beautiful flag ship store in Vermont, buy online, and now also have the option to shop at one of your beautiful new stores in Canada. All the brand new staff in Kingston are learning about L.L.Beans quality products, are welcoming, excellent, and are really doing their very best for your clients including your disabled clients. My and my families thanks.
