I went into The Shoe Company on Friday the 23rd and spoke with Solange regarding the 10% promotional code not working on the website and she was very unhelpful! I even showed her on my phone that it wasn't working and asked her to try herself to get the code from the website so she can see that it wasn't working, and her only response was, "I'm sorry you had trouble. You were the only one to complain about it so we can't do anything about it, but your shoes are now ordered so thank you..."
This left a bitter taste in my mouth and it was completely unprofessional and I reported this to your website feedback and said I would leave a Google review if nobody got back to me, so here we are now after 8 days with no response.
The website promotional code that is texted once you sign up on the website is not working at all. She should have offered to get it fixed and honored my 10% discount because I had to drive to the store thinking I would have gotten it this way since it didn't work online.
You need to hire people who understand business and customer service. If she even offered to look into it, I wouldn't be nearly upset. She clearly didn't care with my multiple attempts to ask her for the 10% discount.
It wasn't about saving $20 on my order, it was the principle that I drove to the store to explain the problem in hopes a comprehensible person would have understood and offered to look into it.
I guess this is what happens when you try to shop close to when the store is closing and everybody wants to go home.
I hope this message finds you well. My recommendation is to not only retain Solange, but get your website codes fixed. This 1-star review was not given because if the website application not working, it was warranted with the very poor service Solange provided to me and how she dismissed what I was saying while processing my order.
She is very rude and nonsensical, and needs to be restrained to understand how her attitude affect more than herself, which is the business she represents.
I don't write many reviews as you can see when you look at my profile, but I had to with this one because the experience was that poor and Solange thought she could just say anything to customers to push issues under the rug without reprocussions.
Solange was very lazy in handling the situation and failed to understand the smallest effort would have made a big difference!

I got a pair of dress shoes for Christmas, unfortunately they were the wrong size. My wife tried to do me a favor and go exchange them for a different size. She had our newborn baby with her, and they tried to make her pay an additional $40 plus tax due to a colour difference. The exact same shoe and one number difference in the sku just different colour. My wife spoke to the supervisor and he said they were last years model, but when I looked online I saw it was the exact same shoe. He finally got the manager and she just repeated what he said and also was very rude. The associate # is 48664. I will not be back.
