I stopped into Scheels Tulsa today hunting for a new Garmin, and Dakota turned it into a full-on, no-nonsense-but-still-funny masterclass. He walked me through the Forerunner 970, Instinct 3, Fenix 7, and even the new Fenix 8 without a single ounce of upsell pressure just straight facts and genuine help. The Fenix 8 was on sale and basically said, “Hey Let’s Do It!” If you’re shopping for a fitness watch and want someone who actually knows the gear and treats you right, go see Dakota at Scheels. You’ll walk out with the right watch and a better mood.

I’ve been meaning to stop into Scheels for quite some time…and I finally made it! I arrived later in the afternoon, which only means one thing—I clearly need a return trip because this place is massive.
Scheels truly has something for everyone. No matter the sport, hobby, or outdoor adventure, they’ve got you covered. I was even pleasantly surprised (and slightly overwhelmed!) by just how large the women’s section was. Since I brought my wife along, I had no choice but to “endure” it with a smile. 😉
What really stood out to me was Scheels’ commitment to honoring our military. The Folds of Honor displays and the recognition of each branch of service were incredibly meaningful. As a retired veteran, seeing that kind of respect front and center was both gratifying and humbling.
The museum-like stats and tributes to famous Americans in front of the store were also impressive and added a unique touch you won’t find in typical sporting goods stores.
Overall, Scheels Tulsa is an experience—not just a shopping trip. I’ll absolutely be back!

Really nice store. Only minor issue I had was letting them bore sight the scope and rifle I bought together. I was never asked to check the eye relief which I thought was odd at the time. Obviously no one can set your eye relief for you it dependent on the person using the rifle so I had to remount my scope myself. This whole process left scratches on my brand new scope. So if you're going to let them do that make sure to mention all these things to avoid my mistake.

Went in a few weeks ago to buy a crossbow. I found one I liked the guy working with me took me in to the range to shoot it a few times. I was happy with it so he said he would have a guy look it over to make sure it was good to go! After getting a few hundred dollars more of accessories I went back to the counter. I was told everything was good to go, I paid for everything and before we left the counter my son noticed one of the strings was frayed! So they ordered new strings got everything right and quickly!! After the tech set everything up he called and it’s amazing!! Thank you for everything!!

Don't buy a firearm here unless it is a deal you cant get anywhere else and you have 4 hours to wait for it. Gun room sales staff stack up information from multiple people, turn it in all at once and usually only have 1 person fulfilling firearm purchase paperwork. I saw my i.d. stay with a sales person and walk around the room for over 30 minutes as they were adding more i.d's to their clipboard. Paperwork is done via computer and is quick, but the staff slows the process down beyond any reasonable amount of time. Also normal retail sales from other departments are being completed in the gun room, which slows down the process for gun buyers because the limited staff behind the counter has to stop working on paperwork to run a cash register.
