  Lazy, unprofessional, incompetent, unorganized & messy. Asked for help, employee gave excuse, went to find another employee, NO ONE CAME TO HELP. I left the store!!

  During my visit, I had a bit of difficulty finding assistance when I needed it. I was looking for a few specific items and had some questions, but I wasn’t able to locate a staff member at the time. It made the experience a little more challenging than expected. Overall, the store had a good selection, but having more visible staff available to help customers would definitely improve the shopping experience.

  This morning i decided to go to the store on 41st and hwy 44...They were very helpful in assisting me with finding a cooler and the cashier...this pretty brown young lady...chased me down to give me my phone back...and that was a big save because I didn't have the money to buy another phone right now so thanks for paying attention to me in a way that made the rest of my day better...right on time...it really makes a difference 😀 customer service...

  I was genuinely excited to visit Academy Sports + Outdoors in Tulsa for the first time after moving from the West Coast, where this store isn’t available. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We spent over an hour in-store intending to purchase two higher-end firearms, priced at over $1,200. The store, website, and mobile app all clearly advertised military and first responder discounts, which would have resulted in meaningful savings. However, the two associates assisting us were unhelpful, disengaged, and repeatedly stated they didn’t believe any discounts were offered. When we showed them the promotions directly on both the website and app, they dismissed it and pointed to vague fine print, insisting their store “does not typically offer discounts.” There was no effort to resolve the issue, no willingness to clarify, and when we recommended they ask their manager that request was not fulfilled and shrugged off. What should have been a great first experience turned into a frustrating waste of time. We left without making a purchase and will be taking our business elsewhere. I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously—there is a clear gap between what is advertised and what is delivered in-store, as well as a missed opportunity in customer service.
