It cost $75 each time which equals $650 + the time lost for when it failed me at home trying to go to work. I got one claim cleared. It's just a money game for these people. Anyways, after getting my first monthly calibration 3 weeks into it I have had no trouble from it. Maybe it was just not calibrated properly, but it still cost me $600.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
