The store was not overly busy and plenty associates asked me if I needed help while I was shopping. As I go to checkout there are around 8 people in line. This is a Saturday afternoon at 4pm. They have one cashier. People have multiple items in line. After 5 minutes and only one person completing their purchase, there was no supervisor in the area and no one else in the general area to open another register. If departments can have 3 associates standing and having a conversation, then they should be able to open a second register. I sat my bag on the floor and decided to leave. I was excited to get the bag but I was not waiting in line as long to pay for an item as I did actually shopping.
