  if you have curly hair DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. i asked for my ends to be thinned and came back with the back of my head being almost bare??? with whispy hair to ‘frame my face’. cute. i will say i was not charged for this cut once it was made clear i was dissatisfied with results. they offered free hair products but i was so distraught i ended up leaving. the stylist said i “should have been more clear about what i wanted”. a bob. a bob is what i wanted. i had told her I had spent years growing out my hair after it got damaged and was cut very short, and I was so close to my ideal length, but now that timeline has been pushed back months. I work in entertainment. If I had been working on a project and I came back with hair that looks so different, I could have been fired. There is no excuse for this. I’ve had stylists give me exactly what I want before and I’ve been getting my hair done in salons all my life. I know what to ask for and what to expect. I did not appreciate being told that my supposed lack of communication caused me distress and embarrassment over a simple trim for a simple cut. People with textured hair, you’d do better with the greatclips ladies.

  parking lot was full of trash on the walk in, not a good sign. The entire store was sparsly filled with merchandise and the whole place gave off a very "discount store" kind of vibe. the mens big & tall section, which was myain reason for going, was only about 4 racks worth of clothes and the prices were outrageous compared to other retailers. Will never return.

  Went mattress shopping with my husband hoping to take advantage of the Presidents Day sale, and got chased out of the department by a total banshee named Julie. She accused us of lounging around and said we needed to leave, then scoffed at us when we said we were shopping for a mattress. This was after we’d been there for maybe half an hour, sitting and laying on several different mattresses, seeing zero clerks and offered zero assistance. I don’t know what she thinks mattress shopping is supposed to look like. Went to Morris around the corner instead, and had a 5-star experience with Dayon there. He treated us respectfully and professionally, and was very knowledgeable about their mattress and bed frame selection. He even took the time to walk around the store with us to show us the different bed frames and talk us through the different options available. We’ve already shared our experience with friends and acquaintances who are also in the market for a new mattress, telling them all to STAY AWAY from JC Penney.
