Excellent service, outstanding help from Mr. McCloud, Sales Advisor. Mr McCloud took the time to answer my question( watches that required resizing and possibly cleaning) and provided me with information that actually saved me money. His professionalism was outstanding and I would highly recommend him.

If you are in the market for watches and jewelry I highly recommend Randy Ihle and James Free Jeweler's. Randy is kind, friendly and a pleasure to work with. He’s extremely knowledgeable and guided me expertly to items for myself and my wife. The James Free showroom in Dayton is gorgeous as well with a very large and beautiful selection to choose from.

I visited James Free yesterday with my brother. While the name suggests otherwise, I did not expect anything to be free, other than perhaps basic customer service. Instead, we were immediately approached by a woman who abruptly asked what we were looking for, without a greeting, welcome, or holiday acknowledgment. We mentioned our interest in Rolex, as James Free is both an authorized Rolex dealer and service center. She introduced us to Randy, the Rolex specialist, whose demeanor was even more off putting. Asking questions felt like an inconvenience to him, and his responses were short and dismissive. What was most surprising is that you cannot actually purchase a Rolex there. The new inventory is display only and unavailable for purchase. The Certified Pre Owned section was also unavailable. Certain exhibition models can supposedly be reserved, but only if the store receives another identical model, at which point the exhibition piece may be sold. I understand this may be a Rolex policy, but if a retailer is dedicating significant square footage, branding, and presentation to Rolex, one would expect the ability to sell something. Combined with Randy’s inability or unwillingness to explain the process clearly, build rapport, or capture my information for future business, the experience fell flat. A competent salesperson would have taken the opportunity to explain the system, outline next steps, and establish a relationship. None of that happened. Overall, the visit was strange, impersonal, and unwelcoming. The environment felt snobby, and there was no attempt to sell, educate, or engage. It is not an experience I would choose to repeat.

Today was my son’s 15th birthday. He loves luxury watches. On a whim, we decided to stop by and see what selection James Free had to offer. The staff was exceptional, especially Kenneth. He took time to educate my son on all the details, history and intricacies of all the brands they carry. My son was treated like a king, and he was glowing after leaving. It made his birthday very special. I would most definitely shop here for future purchases.

No one cares more about their customers than the employees at James Free Jewelers. Every customer is treated like they are the most important customer in the store. James Free Jewelers is the best.
