One lady was practically over my shoulder when I was looking at a pair of jeans but still she said nothing until I greeted her. I made a purchase and as I’m leaving the store still no engagement. They were too busy either profiling customers and not being friendly at all. So embarrassing.

Tried the fork trick and $150 pair pants have a hole in them. You work in a clothing store! 1. Scan clothes. 2. REMOVE SECURITY TAG. 3. Charge customer. 4. Put clothes in bag. It’s really that simple. I called corporate and all they offered was to put $25 on our rewards account. Express just lost a customer of many, many years (verified by corporate).

The staff member Maria I interacted with was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when I asked a simple question. Instead of trying to assist, she spoke in a condescending tone and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in the store. Customer service should be respectful and professional, and this experience was the opposite. I usually enjoy shopping at Express, but this interaction seriously affected my impression of the store. I hope management addresses how customers are treated, because no one should feel disrespected while shopping.
