I generally give my unwanted books to the library for their sale, but had three books in my car the other day. Half Price books is beside the grocery store I used. So after grocery shopping I took the 3 books to 1/2 Price and sold them for $2. I thought that was low but didn't care. I figured if they only gave me $2 they'd be selling them for $12 total. It was $2 towards my next book which I bought then. A couple days later I sa2 my three books on the shelf for a total price $24. I'm no mathematicians but a 1200 percent markup seems a bit scammy.
