I love their underwear designs, but I had a terrible experience at the Kenwood Mall (Cincinnati, OH) location. The associate helping me with a fitting didn't know how to react when I told her that her suggested size was too big. She called over a more experienced colleague, who measured me again and insisted on the same size. Despite me explaining why that size wouldn't work, she refused to listen and became fixated on the measurement numbers. She eventually dismissed my concerns and 'humored' me by bringing the size I requested, while still trying to push her suggestion on me.
It was a frustrating experience, and I ended up having to find my own size anyway. To top it off, the cashier practically threw the bag at me after I paid. I understand it was busy and she might have been tired, but that is no way to treat a customer.

Today (11/21/25) around 3 pm, my friend and I went into aerie. I needed a bra sizing so I made my way to the back of the store and tried to approach the sales associate at the fitting room. She asked, “What do you want?” In a rather harsh tone. I had explained that I needed a bra sizing and she scoffed. She called on her microphone and asked a different associate to do it for her. I didn’t mind this because I’ve worked in womens retail and sometimes sizing someone for a bra can be difficult/uncomfortable. She said “sorry, wait.” And I said “okay!” The other associate that helped me was super kind and told me if I needed anything to just press the button and the fitting room associate would grab her. I found the bra I liked, but wanted a different color. So I came out and the associate working the fitting room was standing there checking the fitting room. I stated “oh I have the bras! I didn’t want to leave them in there for you to grab” and she scoffed at me, rolled her eyes and said “k. Are you getting these?” And I said very nicely, “I like this bra but was wondering if you have it in a different color?” Then she was visibly very annoyed with me and said “let me help these people who ACTUALLY need the fitting room.” And I said “okay! No worries.” The people waiting stated they were waiting for a friend, to which the associate said, very harshly, “OK WHO ACTUALLY NEEDS A FITTING ROOM?” At this point, my friend and I were staring at each other in disbelief of this lady’s attitude. She did end up showing me where to go, to which I profusely thanked her but she was just cold back. I know I should’ve said something at the store, but I also understand people have bad days and working in a women’s clothing store can be very exhausting. I thought more about it though, and I did not deserve that kind of treatment at all. I usually have such a great experience with all the women that work there but this just left me feeling really sad and nervous. Maybe work with your employees on their customer service skills.

I love Aerie! This was my first time shopping at Aerie, and the staff was very helpful and patient with me. If I needed something they would help me find it -- even if it means searching through the clearance bins. The items are also quality and have a great price -- I received 20% off just for signing up for their rewards program. I definitely recommend this store and will defiantly be shopping there again!
