I recently took my sewing machine to get fixed. It is from the 90s so I was expecting there to be issues repairing it, which ended up happening. I was told there was a "base" piece that was no longer being manufactured. I did ask for more detailed notes on the broken part, in hopes I could find an electronics shop to fix the board if that was the issue, but I was told there weren't any outside of a "base" piece being broken.
I was a little suspicious that there weren't any more notes but it was noted that they had at least provided basic cleaning and servicing still, free of charge. After opening the machine at home, I don't think they even provided that, as the bobbin area was still filled with a lot of lint. This did end up breaking my trust that the service team did their due diligence with looking at my machine and unfortunately I don't think I would go back to Sew-A-Lot for any future sewing machine services I would need.
