  I guess the firearms counter is either understaffed or closes earlier than the rest of the store... came in just before 8 and it was vacant...one guy (Russ?) came out from way off to the side who had been helping someone else, and he was polite enough to tell me he wouldn't be able to sell me anything- which is fine at that hour; but when I asked if I waited for that sale to finish if he could at least tell me if they had something in stock which was "limited availability" on the cabelas website that I didn't see in the case, he answered no. Seems like someone else could have simply been called over if he wouldn't be able to make the time given that its an hour before the store closes...or maybe add some signage to that area if it has different hours than the rest of the store- this wasn't an issue I ever had at the Bass Pro in Shreveport. *edit- it dawns on me he might work on commission, which would explain the lack of help if assisting me wouldn't get him anything as I wasn't planning to make a purchase on the spot- was going to Kroger and seeing them next door reminded me I had wanted to see a specific 1911.

  Excellent staff, very friendly. Learned about all the Champion and Cabela's line of generators. They were also kind enough to let us park our RV there for a few hours.

  Shoe selection for women was so small and I was really disappointed. I can't try anything on online so I'm not interested in shoe shopping on a website!!

  March 8,2026 I didn't get the guys name, I assume he's a supervisor because he had on a white shirt, he was extremely rude and not helpful at all. We asked where ammo was for our guns he stood behind the counter pointing. I asked where he's pointing he yelled, "right there down that aisle." I ended up getting the wrong ammo because he couldn't walk from behind the counter to show me. Come to find out he was in a hurry to go to lunch. I went back the next day and the guys were extremely helpful.

  We drove about an hour and a half to shop this location. It definitely has a hunting vibe, we were pounced on by 5 different people within about 4 minutes all wanting us to follow them to see some kind of setup they had today. This was absolutely crazy because there is no way they didn't realize some of them had already got us. We stayed for about 20 minutes and could not wait to get out. Will definitely NOT be coming back. There was another guy at the entrance who tried to stop us, also. So cringy, just let people spend some money!
