I always liked nordstrom but felt compelled to write a review after this extremely unpleasant experience. We are visiting from NYC and I thought my husband would like this mall since he hasnt been here yet. Every place was nice except this nordstrom. We walked in and only 5 minutes of being there, we were approached by 4 different employees asking if we needed help. We are not usually profiled so I can't say whether or not this is the case. No one knows but the employees. I was in here yesterday and had a lovely associate in lingerie. Today a very tall, awkward looking man approached my husband and asked if he needed help as he waited for me to finish in the restroom. He said no. Said employee proceeds to ask "are you sure?" That already made him angry. After witnessing this, employee number 2 asks if we need help about 20 seconds later. No. Again. We moved onto belts and another very tall man approaches and asks us if we needed anything in a suspicious manner. No thankyou we say. Then Employee number 4 after only 5 minutes of being here with our young child approaches us. We finally ask..what's going on? He immediately said it's because it's slow and the manager on duty (who was hovering around with a clipboard) is encouraging her employees to essentially harass customers?? I dont know what else to call it. Having been a retail manager myself i was a little upset but somewhat understood the paranoia. My husband however is not so forgiving and this has unfortunately ruined all nordstroms for him. And it left a bad taste in his mouth about ohio in general. With so many nordstroms closing across the nation, do better. Respecfully. It doesn't take much to show a little kindness and to be a normal human being quite frankly. We did eventually go to Saks and Dillard's and purchased multiple items from both stores as the employees there were very pleasant.

Very poor customer service and integrity We came down two weeks ago and spent over an hour with a gentleman in the men's section getting fitted for this Hugo tuxedo. He went on to recommend a tuxedo shirt and the tailor came down to size up for alterations. When we got the phone call to come down and pick it up, we went to the alterations department and she simply handed us two bags and said have a nice day. I said, The gentleman who sold me this tuxedo told me that I should come down and get fitted before I leave to make sure that everything fits correctly since we had to have alterations done he said. She simply said, "sure if you want to". So we walked ourselves back to the men's section and begged for a room to try it on in. There was nobody there that showed any interest in helping us finish the transaction, seemingly because we had already paid for it. The $180 David Donahue tuxedo shirt did not look appropriate with this suit at all and it was wrinkled from top to bottom as if they just pulled it out of a gym bag. I asked the young lady at the desk of this was appropriate, she also said sure it looks fine. I immediately told her I wanted the return the dress shirt because it was not appropriate to to present a shirt with a customer that was simply opened out of a square package and placed on a hanger for that cost. She looked at my wife and I and disbelief and immediately tried selling us a different shirt without addressing our concerns at all. I pulled the receipt out and I said I want to return it now please, and she finally began to oblige us. When I walked to the shoe department to try to find some Oxford patent leather shoes, the gentleman said, and I quote "nah, we don't have anything like that here". This all seemed incredibly strange to me given the size of the store in the amount of formal dress attire that they had for sale. The tuxedo does not fit appropriately and they continue to hang up on my wife and I every time we call and seek guidance to remedy the situation. We have been left with no alternative except to find a high-end tailor back home who can fix these egregious alterations in time for this black tie affair. As a result, we will never shop at this retail store again. And I do mean Nordstrom's anywhere in this country. We had such high expectations and such a great initial encounter two weeks ago that we thought we had found a great place to shop for our children's upcoming formal events. It turns out, the once the bill is paid they have absolutely no interest in assisting you with anything. What a terrible terrible experience. Respectfully, Robert Tsai DNAP, APRN-CRNA .
