- SLSusan Longo6 days ago1.0My son brought his Madewell Athletic slim fit pants to me to repair all the frayed fabric at the crotch of his pants that were less than a year old. I had to apply patches to the inside parts on each upper leg to help stop the fraying as well as sewing a zigzag stitch for reinforcement. Apparently there have been issues with these pants not holding up. They were not on sale at the time-it is so disappointing to see the poor quality of these jeans. I would hope someone would respond to this from Madewell.
