Purchased an 8-thousand dollar watch - returned less than 48 hours later to exchange it for a smaller size. I was told I could not exchange the watch because it was worn (I only wore it in the store to try it on and left with it in the box).
This was after I had phoned in to confirm their 7-day exchange policy with the store.
When I asked as to what the trade-in value would be so I could just get the other model, they told me that the watch lost over 20% of its value. Complete scam store.

Recently visited the store to sell a watch. Despite his initial friendliness, Jayden was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive.
I understand their policy doesn't allow them to disclose why they don't buy a watch. That said, the proper way to communicate that is to pull me aside and speak directly.
Instead, Jayden took upon himself to yell across the floor and tell me they're passing on the watch. This was uncomfortable as other patrons began to stare.
Extremely disappointed with the customer service. Will not be returning to this location.

I didn’t make a purchase, but I wanted to share the exceptional experience my family and I had at Bucherer this past weekend. I visited with my wife and our 2-year-old daughter, hoping to try on a few Rolex models to compare them to my Starbucks Submariner, as well as have my wife try on a 41mm Datejust to compare it with her two-tone 36mm.
When we arrived, I was greeted by Christian, who had just finished assisting another family. I let him know I was interested in trying on a Daytona and a Sky-Dweller, and he quickly presented a two-tone Daytona and a white-dial Sky-Dweller on a Jubilee bracelet—both incredible pieces beautiful craftsmanship. He then showed my wife a two-tone chocolate diamond-dial Datejust. While it was too large for her wrist, it fit me perfectly when I tried it on.
Afterward, I asked Christian about the process for beginning a collection at this boutique, especially as a local from the Bronx. He explained everything clearly and professionally, and I told him how much I appreciated his straightforward approach.
We then visited the Tudor section, where Omar also a Bronx native welcomed us. He showed me the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic on a hybrid leather strap, which looked great and felt very comfortable. I thanked him as well.
When we moved over to the Cartier section, Christian returned and kindly showed my wife and me several women’s models, ranging from small to medium sizes, and even went to the back to bring out a Large Cartier Santos for me to try on. At one point, a young woman from the staff, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, noticed my daughter wanting to try on a watch because she saw us trying them on. She removed her own vintage Cartier watch passed down to her from her mother and gently placed it on my daughter’s wrist. My daughter immediately lit up, smiling and chatting with her. That moment was truly priceless, and I can’t thank her enough for such a thoughtful gesture.
To Christian and the entire Bucherer 1888 team: thank you for the time, warmth, and outstanding experience you provided to me and my family. It meant a great deal to us.

2 months ago my husband got his Rolex, I was talking to Jayden and joke around that December is my birthday month and turquoise is my color, I was in the waiting list for my OP and he said he’ll make it happen. And last night we went there to see him I have no idea when we went there for my husband want it a surprise and we walked out with my OP in a turquoise color, best gift ever.
Jayden Vargas is the number one S.A from Bucherer White Plains NY we got another call from him for my Rolex in my waitlist I’m thankful to have him as our S.A thank you so much Jayden for your dedication in making your costumers happy at all times may God give you always good health, more blessings to come Keep it up, and also thank you to Angelina the manager to allow me to purchase one of the Rolex model. We went to the shop and looking for advice on Rolex as we’re looking for a Daytona. Waited for a while and everyone was nice until a red hair Rolex representative started to serve us.
He asked us what we’re looking for and was very dismissive to start. We told him we’re looking for a Daytona and he mentioned it will take forever to wait which we’re aware. We asked him how long just because we’re curious and he just went ‘oh forever. You’re never going to get one’
His attitude was bad and basically treated you like you’re never going to be able to get one and even if you do you wouldn’t be able to afford one. At the end he just discouraged us from doing any purchases.
This definitely discouraged us from going back to this store and doing any businesses with them. Go to another Bucherer.
Update (Dec 25) -
The store director, Angelina, reached out for a follow up and we scheduled appointment to revisit. She was very nice and greeted us at the store this time.
Ben, who’s the other Rolex specialist in the store, was very friendly and helpful during this visit. Helped us on registering us for watches we’re interested. Understanding it’s going to be hard for the models we want but he’s very patient to explain to us what models might be easier to get (still hard but just relatively easier).
Definitely a lot better experience this time. Recommend Ben for sure if you’re looking for Rolex in this store.
