- GAG. A.2 days ago3.0With so many stores closing left and right, you would think Staten Island Mall would do everything in its power to attract and keep customers. One major area that needs improvement is the electric vehicle charging stations. They need to be upgraded, expanded with additional ports, and properly enforced so that only electric vehicles are parked there. Many times, I would like to go to the mall, plug in my car, and walk around—something that naturally leads to spending money—but I can’t because the chargers don’t work or are occupied by non-electric vehicles. An excellent location to add a full row of EV chargers would be the parking lot near Macy’s and JCPenney. Many other malls have rows and rows of charging stations, and it clearly works. They don’t even need to be free—people will still come to charge their cars and then go inside for coffee, shopping, or dining. This is a missed opportunity to bring in steady foot traffic. It’s time to get with the program.

It turned out to be more suburban and quieter than I had imagined, especially when compared to Jersey City and NYC. While looking around, I stumbled upon this mall after noticing a lot of Google Maps reviews. It wasn’t quite what I expected overall, but the food court stood out as relaxed and modern compared to most malls.
