  I had a very disappointing experience at this American Eagle location. I came in with a receipt hoping to exchange a pair of jeans that were past 30 days, but the style was no longer available in store. I asked politely if I could exchange them for a different style and even offered to pay the difference, but the associate was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of explaining the policy clearly, she spoke in a very nasty tone, which made the whole experience unpleasant. I’ve always liked shopping at American Eagle, but this interaction really changed how I feel about the customer service here.

  Pésimo, pésimo el servicio al cliente , nunca ayudan , ven que uno está buscando alguna talla y solo pasan mirando de lado. Cuando hay que pagar los cajeros pasan en el celular y uno tiene que esperar hasta que terminen de chatear , me prometí no volver a ir a está tienda de Staten Island pero nuevamente me fui porque me gusta la ropa de está tienda , pero NO volveré a ir . Cuando uno va al vestidor todos los empleados conversando sobre su vida con la cajera , mientras en 3-4 personas estábamos esperando que termire de conversar para que nos abran la puerta. Por mi no les doy NI una Estrella. 0 estrellas . No es la primera vez, siempre que me voy a está tienda algo nuevo pasa para decepcionarme con el servicio al cliente .

  Kathleen was extremely helpful. I really didn’t want to put her through the problem of returning and repurchasing my items but she didn’t seem bothered at all. She insisted on helping and the process went smoothly. Definitely appreciate her

  I’ve been going to this store forever and i’m a loyal customer. I’ve spent thousands at this store over the years. However, when I purchased $24 sandals a week ago and wore them ONCE to work, they cut up my ankles and made them bleed. I had to stick bandaids on my skin so it wouldn’t hurt to walk. I went back to this store to get a refund and at least pick out something else ; I knew I couldn't wear those shoes again. But of course, it was an issue because they “were worn.” The girl who initially started helping me literally giggled in my face as she told me she can’t really return them. I had a receipt showing the shoes were purchased nearly a week ago and when inspected it showed they were hardly dirty. They looked like they were worn once, because they were, at my job. The employee asked me “did you wear them all day?” Uh, yeah? At the school I work at? Was I supposed to have a pair of backups to prepare myself for the poor quality of these shoes? & How else was I supposed to know they’d tear at my ankles unless I wore them? Any other store would have been more accommodating with a product like that especially when a customer presents a receipt and the shoes literally looked like they were worn ONCE. Didn’t appreciate the nasty attitudes and looks from the staff. Decided to leave and take my $ elsewhere !
