  A line to get in, expected. Staff present and counting the number of people entering and exiting. I appreciate the safety measure. I'm fascinated by the breed of human called "vlogger" and or "infuencer" who walks around like a main character in their little bubble. Expect to be an NPC in the background of a YouTube short or stream. Expect to wait on the stairs while instagram reels are filmed. I would not touch a single open Lego block on the floor, no idea what plague a child is carrying. No sanitizer in sight. Again, expected... you can't manage a massive crowd like this. Displays in the windows are covered in dust, some pieces toppled. Prices will be MSRP of course, just keep in mind you can enter a BestBuy and be sold "Lego Adult" sets there too (I mean, the flowers are nice). Exclusives can be ordered online. Stock should be never an issue here. You can find most sets cheaper elsewhere. Enjoy the "make your own figure" with your child, or a smart Lego brick showcase with an enthused employee. Personally I dislike the concept of "smart" interactive anything as less is left to imagination. I guess you do need an app for that so Lego can gauge interest, and understand how their product is used so they can market to you better though. If thats your thing, by all means, capatilism reigns supreme as always.

  The Lego Store 636 5th Ave. New York, NY 10020 If you are familiar with the catch phrase, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” then that definitely applies to this location. Walk past this building on 5th Ave and it blends in with all the other skyscrapers. As soon as you step inside, you’re in another world…the Lego world! Be captivated and mesmerized by life size Lego decorations. Sit inside the taxi cab or take a seat on the bench next to the Incredible Hulk! Pass by Times Square or sight see the lifelike Statue of Liberty. Whether you are need of a Lego set or feel the desire to window shop, this is the place to be! #thelegostore #midtownwest

  This lego store is compact and crowded but some really great displays. You can find tones of different lego sets and the employs are constantly showing off the newest thing the lego and happy to answer questions. We had fun just looking. Then we came back a second time and bought a smaller set for our child that would fit in our carry on.

  I visited this place with my son today. We were wandering around looking for the chick toys my son loves, but we couldn't find them anywhere. Just as we were about to feel disappointed, we met a staff member named Sophia. She went above and beyond, searching multiple spots until she finally found them for us! Thanks to her, my son had a wonderful time, and we left with a happy, lasting memory of New York. Thank you, Sophia!
