I recently purchased this beauty from Wempe in New York. I had registered an interest in this watch with Gennadi over the summer, and was surprised and delighted to hear from him that he had located one for me. I paid Wempe via bank transfer and the watch was sent to me immediately. All in all, it was a great experience, and I look forward to making purchases from Wempe in the future.

We had a wonderful experience exploring the numerous watch brands at Wempe. Our sales professional, Gennadi, was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. We’ve purchased luxury watches all over the world and we can honestly say that our time spent at Wempe with Gennadi was certainly time well spent. Thank you Gennadi for getting me into my beautiful new Parmigiani!

I recently visited wempe store and was genuinely impressed by the level of service. Even though I wasn’t ready to make a purchase, the sales representative, Qasim, treated me with the same attention and respect as if I were a long-time customer.
He was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the different brands and models. Qasim took the time to answer all my questions, explain features, and guide me through options without any pressure to buy.
The store itself was clean, well-organized, and had an excellent selection. Based on the quality of service alone, I’ll definitely be returning when I’m ready to make a purchase. Highly recommended!

Wempe Fifth Avenue – A True Gem for Watch Lovers and Jewelry Aficionados
Walking into Wempe NYC feels less like entering a luxury boutique and more like being welcomed into a beautifully appointed home where everyone genuinely wants you to feel comfortable. From the moment I stepped through the door, the staff’s warm, attentive service stood out. They greet you by name if you’re a returning client, offer a seat, and always take the time to listen before showing anything — never a hint of pressure, just enthusiasm and expertise.
Their selection of watches and jewelry is outstanding — from the latest releases by Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Tudor to elegant in-house Wempe creations. Every display is meticulously curated, and the sales associates know the story behind each piece, which adds a special touch.
What really sets Wempe apart is how they make every client feel at home. Whether you’re browsing or making a significant purchase, you’re treated with the same genuine respect and hospitality. The experience feels old-world in its personal attention yet refreshingly modern in its warmth and professionalism.
If you’re passionate about horology or simply appreciate exceptional service, Wempe NYC is a must-visit destination. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why luxury retail, when done right, is an art form in itself.

Truly disappointed with Wempe NYC.
Ten years ago, when the new Rolex Daytona was released, I signed up on Wempe’s waiting list and was told I was among the first 50. Due to a job change, I stopped traveling to New York, but I continued to check in with Wempe every year to ask about my position on the list. Each time, they responded politely that the list was “moving slowly.”
Over the years, I started hearing about others buying the same watch from Wempe, and it became clear that I was being passed over — most likely because I didn’t have a prior buying history with them.
Now, a decade later, when I once again reached out, I was informed that Wempe’s partnership with Rolex was ending and they could no longer fulfill my request. I contacted their VP and Director of Sales, Melanie Hoffmeier, who admitted that the store staff probably hadn’t been fully transparent about the waitlist all along.
In other words, I had spent ten years waiting for a watch that I never had a real chance of getting. I had chosen Wempe because I trusted their reputation as a major international dealer — not realizing that without a purchase history, I didn’t stand a chance.
As a collector, I’ve bought watches from IWC, Omega, and even Patek, but I never realized that “buying history” had become the true gatekeeper to owning the most sought-after pieces. I believed that genuine passion and early interest mattered more than how much money one had already spent.
In hindsight, I was probably naive — but this experience also says a lot about the cynicism behind how Wempe chooses to treat customers. It’s not about passion for horology or respect for long-time collectors with limited means; it’s about “money talks.”
I understand that’s how much of the luxury industry operates, but I expected more integrity and honesty from a proud family-run company like Wempe.
After this experience, I’ll stick to smaller, local dealers who care about the products and their customers — not just the sales figures.
Thank you, Wempe, for teaching me that lesson — but honestly, I expected better from you.
