Samantha was fantastic. She took the time to walk me through the sizing, fit, and different styles of sports bras. Since I’d never purchased a Lululemon bra before, it was all new to me, but she explained everything clearly and made the experience great.

Had a rude and judgmental interaction with a staff member over making a return of unworn items that I ordered online after I told her I hadn’t even tried it on (because it was too thin and sheer). Overall felt the store culture at this location was unfriendly.

I have shopped at lulu for 10 years plus I LOVE their clothing. My first time in NY I was ecstatic to visit one there. Well I was treated like I was poor got NO help, went to try on my items that were placed back onto the rack downstairs. So I tried on the few things I had in my hand. I needed another size even asked out nicely for help. NOTHING. There was a celebrity in the store who I adore yet she got treated like gold. Then the cashier couldn’t get the security tag off, almost ripping a hole in it. I didn’t want the item anymore. She swiped and rudely handed me a giftcard… I didn’t want a giftcard. Long story short the staff were SO rude betond rude I know it’s New York but it was BAD. I asked to speak to management and nothing was done not even “I’m sorry”. It is unacceptable how rude and unprofessional the staff is here I will NEVER be back to that lulu. To end it all I tried on a jacket and there were FOUR security tags in the pocket so I took it to a employee who state “oh yeah that happens a lot between you and I there’s nothing we can do about it” in my head I thought I was in a target compared to Lululemon…. Worst customer service I have ever experienced

If I could put zero stars I would , I’m extremely disappointed with the staff . As a black woman myself there were two black women one is the manger I believe they were at the cashier area where I saw them laughing , yelling at the customers and making jokes at this customer that was in the line . No business etiquette I left and trust me I would not be going back to that location because of them 0/10 experience.

Lululemon currently has a promotion with American Express, where you get $75 in statement credits each quarter for purchases made with your Amex card. I decided to take advantage of this benefit and bought a pair of sandals online.
When the sandals arrived, they were too small. This was already near the end of the month, so I wanted to make sure the exchange would go smoothly and that I wouldn’t lose the Amex credit.
I called Lululemon’s customer service to ask if I could exchange the sandals by mail, but the representative told me exchanges can only be done in-store.
So, on October 6, 2025, around 1:00 PM, I asked my fiancée to go to the Lululemon store at 592 5th Ave, New York, NY, to exchange the sandals for a bigger size.
When she got there, an Asian lady at the front desk assisted her. Instead of processing an exchange, she processed a refund without authorization and handed my fiancée a receipt.
My fiancée immediately asked, “What is this receipt? I came here to exchange the sandals for a bigger size.” She made it very clear that she did not ask for a refund, only for an exchange.
At that point, a tall Black man, who also refused to identify himself, came over. Since neither of them would give their names, I’m describing them physically and have included the exact date and time so the store can easily identify who was working at that moment.
They told my fiancée to call Lululemon’s customer service and “ask them to transfer the refund into a gift card.”
I then called customer service and spent 30 minutes on the phone. The representative was shocked and said this procedure doesn’t exist. According to them, the store should have issued a gift card on the spot, not processed a refund.
They confirmed the store followed a completely wrong procedure and told me they would open an investigation to understand what happened at this specific location.
Because the original purchase used $75 from my Amex, Lululemon offer, the unauthorized refund caused me to lose that Amex credit permanently.
This behavior is sneaky and unacceptable. The staff refused to give their names and clearly knew what they were doing.
⚠️ Be very careful with this location. They clearly know about the Amex–Lululemon promotion and will do anything to make you lose the benefit. Very dishonest experience.
👉 I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to make sure this situation is properly documented and investigated.
