  I walked into the store (after a 20 min wait outside) intending to purchase a $8k watch. The disinterest shown by the staff right from the person letting me in, to the person at the check in desk, to the folks at the 3rd floor watch section made me feel like they were doing me a favor by letting me in. I walked out shortly and decided to spend my money at another watch store where I’ll get the level of service their prices dictate.

  I purchased both a ring and a watch from Cartier SoHo in the same visit. This was for my wedding. We worked with Mimi, who handled the sale and arranged for my ring to be engraved. She knew the exact date of our wedding. Despite that, the ring was not ready in time. There was no proactive communication. No warning. No explanation. As the wedding approached, I reached out repeatedly to both customer service and the store. No response. The store itself claimed it had no direct way of contacting the workshop doing the engraving. Let that sink in. A Cartier boutique selling wedding jewelry had no way to reach its own workshop while a bride’s ring was missing days before her wedding. I was left without my engraved wedding ring on my wedding day. For a brand that trades on heritage, trust, and precision, this level of incompetence is staggering. When you are purchasing something for a once in a lifetime moment, reliability is not optional. Do not shop at this location for anything time sensitive or sentimental. And do not assume that a luxury price point guarantees luxury service.

  Linda was incredibly helpful and professional during my shopping experience. I was able to walk in on a Sunday and buy a watch with little wait time. Granted, this was cold Sunday in February, so an appointment is probably a good idea! The staff were attentive and helpful. I was able to even follow up with Linda directly via text to get a pouch delivered to me that wasn’t available at the time of purchase. I would visit this store again for my next Cartier purchase.

  This location isn’t as service-oriented as the one on 5th Ave. We arrived on time for our service appointment only to be told that the machine had been broken for 4 days and that our rings would need to be sent out to another location. Fine, these things happen, but I would have appreciated a call or text to inform me instead of me commuting 30 minutes to the store only to be turned away.

  The 5 stars rating is for Abby. Honestly, if not for Abby, it would be rated much lower and I don't know if I would want to ever shop at Cartier again. I visited this store 3x and had the pleasure of being helped by Abby on my first visit. However, for my 2nd and 3rd visit, I received "help" from someone else and they were very dismissive. My husband and I were looking for a bifold wallet and she was quick to say they didn't have any available to show us. Luckily, Abby saw us and helped us. Abby showed us what was available and was patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Ultimately, the selection of wallet didn't fit what we were looking for, but I greatly appreciate Abby for sincerely trying to help us find what we are looking for. Because of Abby, I would visit Cartier again, but I would only feel comfortable buying from her bc the dismissive attitude from the 2nd visit really made me judge the Cartier brand negatively.
