Review Title: Avoid this location – Unprofessional communication and endless delays
Rating: 1/5 Stars
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Watches of Switzerland (Hudson Yards) dealing with John Hernandez. What should have been a simple purchase of a Longines and a Hamilton watch turned into a month-long saga of ghosting and unfulfilled promises.
The issues:
Zero Proactive Communication: After paying the deposit, I had to follow up constantly (Nov 19, 22, 25, 26, and Dec 1) just to get a status update. John repeatedly promised updates "later this afternoon" that never came.
False Timelines: On Nov 18, I was told the watch would arrive "early next week." By Dec 2, it still wasn't there.
Total Lack of Accountability: While John was claiming the Longines hadn't arrived, another sales professional in the same company (Leia) mentioned they had the watch in the showroom. It felt like my order was being ignored or mishandled.
Refund Hassle: After finally canceling due to the long wait and poor service, I had to chase them again for my refund. Instead of processing it back to my card remotely, I was told I had to physically come into the store to get my money back from a manager.
Buying a luxury timepiece should be an exciting experience, but John made it feel like a chore. If you value your time and want a salesperson who actually responds to emails, go elsewhere.

Went in yesterday for a quick check to the store. If I am able to remember right, the door man said hello but the two customers service people specially the male did not bother on even saying hi or ask how he could be of help. Did not even made a step out of the spot he was standing.
Very disappointed with the customer service me and my husband received.
In comparison to other stores at other locations this was the worst experience.

I was looking for the Tudor BBP Opaline dial. But WOS didn’t have it in stock. Jordan Lopez was my SA at the time. And said he hasn’t seen a white dial BBP in person yet (this was in September 2025). But he would contact me if and when it does comes in. We exchanged information. Lalalala. Then out of nowhere I get an email from him on Christmas Eve’s eve. Stating that my watch has landed!
Mind you, 3 months had passed. The Tudor was nowhere in my mind. I was planning for the holidays and etc. totally forgotten about my inquiry. Needless to say, Jordan came through! I appreciate him giving me the opportunity to purchase the watch. And for him sourcing it for me!
Thanks Jordan!

I visited your store on Sunday 12/28/2025 around 6 pm and was extremely disappointed by the behavior of one of your sales associates, he is Asian. The interaction felt dismissive and discriminatory, which is unacceptable and not reflective of the Rolex brand. I hope this will be addressed seriously. We are asking about Rolex watches. During my visit, the sales associate stated that the store only sells Rolex watches to local residents. This statement is inaccurate and contradicts my own experience purchasing Rolex timepieces internationally. The explanation appeared to be a pretext to dismiss me rather than a legitimate policy, which made the interaction feel dishonest and discriminatory. DO IT BETTER.”

Had the privilege of taking a weekend off to visit New York City. Due to the trip being so brief, I wanted to spend a generous amount of time exploring some of the brands I have difficulty accessing back in my hometown. I had a blast checking out some of the pieces in this boutique (VC 7900 with a blue dial, pre-owned Cartier CPCP's, and some larger than life grand complication Pateks which were on display, but not for sale.) This was all weeks ago, but I wanted to take a second to thank Monica and Ellis especially for being so patient and allowing me to be curious even when I had expressed I wasn't a buyer. They were patient, kind, and had great conversation. They deserve great praise for their work ethic in sales! Cheers
