I visited the Watches of Switzerland store at Hudson Yards to inquire about a specific Rolex timepiece and had an extremely disappointing experience. The salesperson, Ellis, was dismissive, rude, and uninterested in helping— "responding" to a basic question with a one-word answer before immediately walking away, refusing to engage with me or provide any further assistance. It really looked like I was an annoyance.
For a luxury retailer representing a prestigious brand like Rolex, this level of customer service is completely unacceptable. A salesperson should embody professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge; unfortunately, Ellis was the opposite and is a very poor ambassador for the brand.
What makes this even more frustrating is that this is not an isolated incident—my previous interactions with this salesperson have been similarly negative. Management seriously needs to address the consistent lack of customer care at this location. I would strongly caution others expecting a luxury-level experience to reconsider.
This feedback also appears consistent with many other critical customer reviews about this location, despite the presence of numerous highly positive (seemingly fake) ratings.

I recently purchased a Rolex for my wife at Watches of Switzerland, and the experience couldn’t have been better. Wen was our sales associate, and she was truly wonderful. She was so kind, patient, and genuinely caring, and made us feel comfortable the entire time. She took the time to walk us through everything without any pressure and made what should be a big purchase feel exciting and special. You can tell she truly cares about her clients. Thanks to Wen, this was a really memorable experience for us, and we’re so grateful for her help!
