  My wife and I were walk the mall. There were quite a bit of kids there walking the mall and having fun. It felt like the way when we grew up as kids. The biggest thing that I am disappointed in is the mall security harassing the kids for being in the mall and having fun. While we witness this the security guard was very disrespectful to the kids , while I chimed in being an adult saying give the kids a little more respect they will give you respect back. The security guard told me to mind my own business. I asked the kids to leave the mall please before they really got into trouble because the security guard wanted to call the cops on the kids for asking for a reason why they had to leave and he wouldn't answer them. When I asked them politely they decided to leave. Now you wonder why all these malls are closing because kids don't want to and can't because a guy making $17hr has a Napolitan complex.

  Took my 5 yr old granddaughter to Smith Haven Mall's FREE North Wing Children's Play Area outside of Stoney Brook Medicine, Charlotte Russe, and Spencer Gifts. With school out she played with plenty of other kids her own age for about 2 hours. Afterwards we enjoyed a cup of Pretzels, a cup of Pretzel Dogs w/Cheese and a cold lemonaide at Auntie Anne's Pretzels (Noth Wing). NOTE THAT STONEY BOOK MEDICINE IS UNFRIENDLY TOWARDS ANYONE NEEDING TO USE THEIR FACILITIES EVEN IF YOU ARE MEDICICALLY IMPAIRED WITH CHARCOT FOOT AND A GASTRIC BYPASS PATIENT. The nearest restroom in the mall is near the entrance to Macy's on the left.

  This is a big enough mall to spend a lot of time in, I like the open areas and the connections to The Cheesecake Factory and other places. I hope the Barnes & Noble is still there, but I think they should remodel it to look more retro than their new modern look that they're trying to aim for. I'm always already a place of hyper-commercialism, at least try to make the place not look like an office building

  Went to the Stony Brook Medical Offices. Easy access. Parking can be difficult if you want to be close to main entrance. But there is ample parking on owrimeter.
