first of all, the prices are genuinely amazing, I bought a pair of Levi 501's for like 40% off, and that's a pretty average deal, I went to 2 locations, and I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the discount percent, but lowest I remember was 40% while it can go up to 60% on a pretty good amount of occasions, with the most being 70% which can bring a $300 pair of shoes down very nicely. just great, great discounts!
The staff there were amazing! one of them I think was so tired he could barely even see straight- I did come at 7PM, so I would have expected SOME level of "I wanna go home" attitude among the team members, especially when the rest of the comfy shifts were all home, but they were all extremely welcoming, and as someone who is socially a little out there, they made me feel at home, which is great as I love what the store has clothes wise as well! Robert stands out, as his energy level was great, but not too much considering he probably had a closing shift, he was extremely friendly, and something tells me he found the secrets to being happy in todays age. his smile, attitude, and customer service, were just such a pleasure to have when I was there, especially as I have anxiety, and people can make me feel uneasy even if they are totally unbothered by me!
The clothes are generally very attractive, with many well done, yet not overdone pieces, I bought quite a few pieces of clothing for my brother, 5 pairs of socks for my father, and a few demin pieces for myself. They had many brands I was not familiar with, for example, Savile Co. had this cute little tag, and some very intricate linings on their suits, although some were more like smoking suits, which I would not wear. they had a pair of Cole Haan running shoes, which was such a strange concept to me at the time, quite a few pairs of Nike sneakers I didn't recognize, a pair of Nikes with a BEAUTIFUL set of PERFECTLY iced outsoles, a pair of Pumas I thought looked strikingly similar to Jordan 1 sneakers which were extremely interesting to see, a pair of really interesting, very masculine boots, etc. the watches had just one panel on one square in the store, and I was wholly unimpressed. Generally with watches I tend to keep to "Watchmaker Watches" instead of "Designer Watches", which Nordstrom Rack heavily leaned towards having all Designer ones, albeit by some decent designer brands, like Kenneth Cole- all watches at that time were under $35, so maybe I'm wrong lol... basically the difference is that a Designer brand is used to making clothing, while a Watchmaker brand can make a watch movement exceedingly well, not just the case, band, dial, etc.
the store itself wasn't exceedingly pretty, but the point is the clothes, it was never the interior design, that's more of a thing for different kinds of retailers, restaurants, etc. basically I'm keeping my eyes on the clothes, similar to an antique shop- seeing things you don't normally see at your finger tips is all the magic I need. the changing rooms were very clean, and finished however, considering I would be getting in and out of different clothes like mad, all giddy for these nice brands! in my specific room which I just kept to for the entire time I was there, there were a couple hangers sitting on the hanger rod, totally fine, just an observation, and I think like 1 or 2 dust bunnies, but it wasn't to the point of disturbing me, I have seen people use FAR FAR worse changing rooms, and these were probably more beautiful, and more clean than Macy's. they took any of the clothes you didn't, and cleaned all of them.
Also, just a tad bit of reference, a lot of the stocks are the same throughout some of the locations, I saw similar stuff in Garden City & Lake Grove.
