This was an unexpectedly amazing L.L. Bean location. The amount of offerings and great customer service were outstanding.

The staff is EXTREMELY RUDE. If you have a child do not bring them into the store. The employees will give you dirty looks and yell at your children if they make any noise. The products are incredibly overpriced, and the staff is extremely unpleasant. The Kingston location staff should be replaced with staff that enjoys the job and customers who shop there. I will never shop at this location again and will urge all of my friends and family to avoid this store location at all costs.

Undeniably great products. Nice to have a store nearby to return online purchases with no return shipping fees.

L.L. Bean is a store I’ve always heard great things about, especially when it comes to outdoor gear and classic New England style. The store itself is clean, organized, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in their customer service, and the layout makes everything easy to browse. However, once you start looking at the price tags, the experience changes quickly.
The biggest issue here is that everything feels way overpriced. Jackets, boots, flannels, simple T-shirts—items that other stores sell for half the cost—are listed at premium prices. Even smaller accessories seem marked up. I understand paying more for quality, and L.L. Bean does make durable products, but the price jump doesn’t always match what you’re getting. It honestly makes you stop and put items back because it’s hard to justify the cost.
I wanted to buy a few things, but after comparing prices online and in-store, I realized I could get similar quality for much less elsewhere. L.L. Bean still has a loyal fan base, and I respect the brand, but unless they reconsider pricing or start offering better deals, it’s tough to shop here without feeling like you’re overspending.

The store carries beautiful products, but when searching for Made in USA products, the product list is very limited. I like to shop local and the pairing didn’t meet my expectations
