  J C PENNEY SHAME ON YOU. I received a 50% peel back coupon offer in the mail. I had driven all the way to the store in Horseheads New York to purchase jeans. After I walked up to the cashier she said sorry you cannot use that peel back coupon offer for any brand name jeans and that is what the small print said on card said that I could barely read. I still purchased the jeans at the full price which was a bad deal. This is just another reason why the J C Penney is closing one store right after another and it is called deceptive advertising.

  I got a necklace for Christmas, which broke, and I ended up exchanging it for a new one. The new one broke last night. I was standing there and it just fell off of me. I went to the store this morning and ended up bringing the wrong warranty card. Since it was a gift, I didn't have the card used to buy it. They tried looking up my information and the gifter's information but couldn't seem to because the "system was having problems." They wouldn't help me. They couldn't find my mom, who gave it to me, because of their system's errors. They knew I exchanged it previously but the manager was adamant that they still couldn't help me. I stood there crying and they still wouldn't help. Another woman came in with a similar problem – her necklace and bracelet both broke. She had no warranty but they exchanged it for her. The same can't be said for me. They KNEW I'd exchanged it, KNEW who I was, and still couldn't help even though it was a system/human error, not mine. Standing there crying is embarrassing, let alone walking out crying. And why does the jewelry keep breaking? Not just mine (twice), but others as well.

  The men’s and women’s bathrooms are randomly separated halfway through the store. The men’s bathroom there’s one stall and instead of toilet paper there’s parchment paper. the door stall needs some WD-40. The urinal needs a deep cleaning so does the plunger there’s brown stuff all over the handle of the plunger. And there’s some gross turquoise stuff leaking down from the door handle. Is this how JCPenney survived sears and all the other stores by buying the cheapest possible toilet paper you could possibly buy anywhere in the entire world!?!? Not only that but they have it so close to the ground and it’s so sensitive that if you pull it with more than 1 mm of force it rips so you’re sitting on the toilet squatted over reaching near the floor for your 1 inch of terrible toilet paper piece by piece.
