Try to make jokes, she lightens up a bit. Do some more shopping. Find a $120 coat wife would like but am reminded of perfume. Find the same woman now working the perfume section. Pick out a $90 bottle of Coach and ask her if she can also check out the coat. Again - the same inconvenienced attitude. Check out for the coat and perfume. She asks if I want to take the coat as-is (literally still just on the hangar) because she doesn't have any bags there. I look to the left of the register and see large vinyl bags and ask "won't one of those work?". She informs me "I guess, but you'll have to pay for it". PAY AN ADDITIONAL $2.15 FOR A BAG AFTER DROPPING $700. And JC Penny, and department stores in general, wonder why their business is dying...

Wow to my surprise they are no longer giving you a return receipt or a sales receipt for items being purchased. I don’t know who made this decision and I even called the store manager. Talk about theft anyone can pickup merchandise and just walk right out of the store. This does not make any sense to me. This can’t be legal!
