  Went there on sunday with my friends and loved the way we were treated at checkout… this lady named amardeep was really helpful, sweet and polite… she also helped us in figuring out the best price after discounts.. also there was a line for checkout and we were bored and tired but after interaction with her, we forgot all of that and ended up being so happy with the customer service that we went back and made another purchase on the same day… definitely going back there next time too…

  Very nice and well maintained place. Of course it was right after the new years so the place wasn't busy and I felt it is way easier to shop around. There was no one on the floor to guide people but most probably it was due to holidays and most people are off. The staff that was available were helpful and decent. Sale prices weren't that good. I bought something then realized it was offered at a cheaper price in another store.

  I visited JCPenney specifically to purchase professional attire for work and was excited to find two blazers and some work shirts. However, what happened at checkout was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. When I attempted to pay with a $100 bill from my bank, the cashier checked it as normal. Before the transaction was completed, another employee named Elanida stepped in and repeatedly rubbed the same areas of the bill with a marker, insisting it was unusable and refusing to accept it. Her tone was condescending, dismissive, and publicly embarrassing far beyond what any reasonable cash-handling concern requires. As someone who has worked in retail, I know how to balance loss-prevention practices with respectful customer service. This interaction lacked both professionalism and basic courtesy, and made me feel humiliated and disrespected. I completed the purchase because I needed the clothing, but this was the worst customer service experience I have ever received, and I will not be returning to this store (Store #0952). Your guests deserve better now matter who they are.

  I was at the JCPenney in Roosevelt Avenue Mall 12/23/2025 around 10:30 PM with my wife. We first stopped at the perfume section, where a woman was working at the register. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. The way she spoke to us was unacceptable and made us feel very uncomfortable. It was a very bad experience and not what I expect from customer service. After that, I went to the men’s section to buy a jacket. The young man helping there was very polite and professional. The difference between the two employees was like day and night. I didn’t do anything wrong. I was already feeling bad, and the way the woman in the perfume section working talked to us made it worse. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue, because no customer should be treated this way.

  Me & My Bestfriend Olga went to JCpenney in Roosevelt field mall for a photoshoot, during the session we met Gill aka Robin (lol) who was super helpful & hilarious! He made us laugh the entire session so much that we forgot about how long the wait was. He definitely turned around a negative waiting experience to an amazing experience, He was so kind in helping us towards the end in choosing our photos! The photos also came out great. He definitely should be promoted Asap, we need meoe great workers like Gill!!! Ty Gill so much 😊
