Now the registers that are no longer, the space is being used as a dumping ground. All you see is discarded clothees strewn around waiting to be hung up and placed back into the various departments. Now I only go to the store to pick up my online orders. The associates that work in that department are faced with working in a junky environment as well. It could be deemed as a fire hazard. There are times when customers have to navigate through the pigsty just to get to the counter which is unacceptable. The store really needs to be cleaned up everyday throughout the day so that it can look presentable. The store might as well be a candidate for the TV show HOARDERS

- KKKRAOct 16, 20251.0I was a long time customer of JCPenney (since the early 2000s), and I had to stop shopping here because of the lack of staff. There is ONE cash register on every other floor. There is ONE dressing room on every other floor. The day I visited, I could not return items and purchase items at the same cashier. I was running all over the store, one floor to purchase clothes, another floor to try on clothes, another floor to return items. I got so frustrated, after I completed my returns I just discarded the clothes I was going to purchase and left. I remember when this store had MULTIPLE cashiers on a single floor, and dressing rooms on every floor. JCPenney will soon be a relic of the past, joining Sterns, Kmart, Caldor, etc.

No checkout on the third floor and the first floor checkout is even longer! This is substandard. Once 20 people on line with 3 people on the registers.
