- MRMonique RobertsAug 29, 20255.0I came in today to speak to a manager about a kid’s backpack that I bought my son about a year and a half ago. It was an expensive backpack (i recall almost $60) and both of the mesh water bottle holders ripped in the same spot shortly after I purchased the backpack. I was definitely disappointed when I saw it, but I’m a very busy parent and I don’t get to colonie center often so my son just wore it ripped on both sides for the last year or so. My younger son now wants an LL Bean backpack too so I brought in the ripped one which is otherwise in perfect shape and the manager told me that in his experience, with his nephews, that the ripped netting was not a defect but happens from damage, although there are no signs the backpack was treated poorly and that “I could keep it but he wouldn’t be accepting it as a return today.” So I left without buying any more of these backpacks. It was not the experience I would expect from LL Bean- quality wise or the poor customer service. I thought maybe at a minimum a discount on buying two new ones would be possible but corporate return policy is very “strict”.
- BFBob FrancisJul 8, 20255.0Very good selection of clothing and outdoor active wear. Very friendly staff, I will go there and buy again. My one pet peeve is i bought a pair of pants for $110, pricey for me, and then they charged me 5 cents for a bag. Really, in my opinion, it was just stupid.

If I have a problem with an online purchase, I an take the item to the store for help. I do like LLBean products and one day I went in the store and I realized everything I was wearing except my underwear was LLBean, even the winter coat. The sales person said I was a walking LLBean advertisement .
