Stephen Etre’s passion for antiques helped him through college and shaped his career in the art and antique business. His love for history and art shines through in his work, and he enjoys creating a fun shopping experience for customers.
Stephen’s A Consignment Gallery began as Streck’s Antiques and Auction Service, which held bi-weekly auctions in the Santa Fe Railyard District. Stephen joined the family business as Business Manager in 1984, bought out his partners in 1987, and relocated to 2701 Cerrillos Rd, rebranding it to its current name. Glen Smith became his business partner in 1990.
Now, Stephen's A Consignment Gallery spans 12,000 square feet, featuring nearly 6,000 diverse items. After thirty years, it remains the largest and oldest consignment gallery in Santa Fe, offering a wide range of previously owned furniture, art, antiques, and fine jewelry, with an ever-changing inventory.
To meet evolving customer needs, Stephen’s provides tailored services such as appraisals, antique valuations, estate sales, and auctions.
