I am deeply disappointed by my experience with this store and the company as a whole. I was sold the wrong size pants by an employee, and after returning home and removing the tag to try them on, I discovered a visible stain on the garment. The pants were never worn, and I retained both the receipt and the original tags, which were placed back with the item.
When I returned to the store, I was treated with open hostility by another employee who abruptly dismissed me, stated there was “nothing she could do,” and effectively forced me out of the store without any attempt at resolution. While I understand store policy, the complete lack of professionalism, empathy, or effort to help a customer—especially when the issue was not caused by the customer—is unacceptable.
I then contacted customer care and, while the representative was polite, I was told nothing could be done and that I would have to wait several business days for a “research team” to follow up. This was especially frustrating given that I had already made a long trip to the mall specifically to resolve this issue.
Finally, I contacted the corporate number, where I encountered the most unprofessional interaction of all. The representative blamed me for not inspecting the pants in the store and went so far as to state that it was my fault employees were rude to me—despite the fact that I remained calm and respectful throughout every interaction. Being blamed for staff misconduct is both inappropriate and concerning.
This experience reflects a serious breakdown in customer service, employee training, and accountability. Policies should never be used as an excuse to treat customers with disrespect or to avoid reasonable resolutions when the store is clearly at fault. I expected far better from a company of this size and reputation, and I will be reconsidering future business unless this issue is addressed appropriately.
