- JRJeanna RaphaelDec 7, 20251.0I liked the necklace I purchased on Sunday, December 7th in the picture attached, but the shopping experience itself was a 0/10. As a Black woman, I felt deeply uncomfortable and surveilled by one of the employees—an older white woman whose name I unfortunately did not receive. From the moment I walked in, she followed me around the store, standing near the jewelry by the register and watching me openly. When I moved toward the jewelry near the clothing section, she trailed behind me, pretending to “fix” an already tidy display. I understand this is a predominantly white town, but I am a student at the nearby university and simply came in to browse for a gift for my friend. In 2025, such blatant racial profiling is disheartening and unacceptable. Although I loved the product, I will not be shopping here again on principle. Do better. Unlearn your biases.
