  Like many here , this location has really dropped in customer service. I came to return some luggage that I used but didn’t fully satisfy my needs. Being within the year of being able to return the items I thought I would do so. I went to the register and gave them the credit card I purchased the items on. My account was messed up apparently and my number was paired to somebody else in another state. My purchases were mapped to that person so they couldn’t do anything. They also said they felt uncomfortable and kept looking me up and down. I have nystagmus and cannot control the movement of my eyes due to a congenial medical condition. I was brushed aside. No resolution to the visit sadly

  Wonderful staff, very helpful. We wanted something not in the store and the staff person found it on the computer for us. Excellent quality of everything they sell.

  One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had with a retailer. After a terrible store experience, the corporate customer service line didn't bother to call me back when they told me that they would. Why was the experience so bad? Apparently while publicly LL Bean claims to honor purchases made before they changed their return policy, this location at least does not honor that guarantee. You know, the one that used to be printed on the receipts as a condition of sale? Yeah, not even when said receipt was from this very location several years before. So, call it what it is: Fraud. The young woman who talked to me was rude, made things up on the fly as to why they would not honor the terms of sale, and stonewalled. I imagine they've all been trained to do this. I called corporate customer service and they gave me a runaround about it, saying that they leave the decision to honor the terms to the clerks. I asked to speak to someone further up the chain, and was told I would get a call later that day. It's now a year later. No call. I bought my first items from LL Bean in the 1980s, and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there since. I will never spend another dime there again. You'd think private equity had gutted LL Bean when you compare what it is today to what it used to be.
