  The video game section was limited and prices on many items were a bit high, but the employees were very friendly and the store layout was nice. It was right around the corner from another store I went to, so I decided to give them a try. Compared to other HPB locations, this one seemed a bit smaller.

  Best place to get books. Always find a friendly reader in isles to help you find more books to add to the TBR.

  I love a discount on a good book. The store itself is pretty diverse in the range of products. It's never too crowded, nor is it too loud. It might be difficult to find any exact books, but you're sure to find a hidden gem within the bookcases. Everything is neatly organized, and even if you're not great at understanding the Dewey decimal system, it's easy to find your book. The staff are super kind and helpful, but not overbearing. The only downside is the ranging of prices. Personally, a few of the books are a bit high priced, but there is certainly plenty to see in the clearance section, as well as a large number of books that are in fact decently priced. While the store is meant to be for books, they also have such a good range of other items. Plenty of journals in various sizes, videos, board games, figurines, bookmarks and even records and cassettes!

  Large store with ample selection of all kind of subject matters. DVDs, cds, TV Shows and comics available with used books. Worth the stop. Bring your list with you so you remember all the physical media you’re looking for and wish to have on hand.

  I’ve always enjoyed browsing Half Price Books, but my recent attempt to sell books was a completely different story. I brought in 50 books, all in equal condition to the ones they sell on their shelves, and was offered $2.50 total. Not per book — for all 50. No explanation, no breakdown, nothing. Just a number that made no sense considering these same titles are sold for several dollars each. When I asked the manager how that offer was even calculated, the employee (Zach) gave a smart‑aleck response saying “Well, we have to keep the lights on somehow,” while other employees in the back laughed like it was a joke. The whole interaction was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. I understand businesses need to make a profit, but offering less than a penny for items you turn around and sell at a 100%+ markup — and treating customers poorly on top of it — is not a great look. This experience definitely changed how I view the store.
