Ice came in to verify if the Oakleys I had just purchased were indeed actually authentic or if I had bought counterfeit. Well after the young man that was helping me out researched a bit and couldn't find the serial numbers in their computer. He decided to call his manager who was able to track down my exact pair which happens to be their vintage line from 1999 and was the Oakley x metal XX 24 carat gold titanium iridium sunglasses. My pair was marked (serial #) as one of the earliest pairs from the 24k 1st Gen x Metal xx line created. I wish I had the box and coin. I asked if they knew of any local Oakley dealers who repaired or tightened the nose bridge or could do a tuneup. I went to the 6 suggested places. I was told they either didn't have the tool specifically needed for this Oakley style and yes, it's a real thing, or they didn't feel comfortable working with them since they had everything original in near mint minus a very light wear mark here or there. I joined a few online groups and finally mailed them to Michigan very well insured especially with the price quote on these rare beauties. Once I got them back, brought them back to Sunglasses but handed them to the guys and they were pleased at how smooth they handled and once again they handled them like a priceless artifact and cleaned the lens. I bought my 3 sons all Ray Bans sunglasses a few months later from there, all a bit different and will do so again. Thanks so much guys! Highly recommend it! 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
