Went to buy a pair of shoes. They bring out a dirty pair of shoes to sell as new. $200 shoes and all they say is we can clean them for you. No I'm not paying $200 for used shoes. I'm not talking a scuff or two. These had dirt all over the top, embedded in the crevices on the bottoms they looked like someone walked through mud and tried to wash them unsuccessfully. These shoes were definitely worn outside for a period of time. Said it was the last pair but didn't check. No offer for discount or to call Moorhead store to see if they had any there. Just said oh huh ok. Crap service in my opinion. Put everything back and left. I'll shop elsewhere I guess.

The customer service desk was very helpful. My husband bought me a Canada Goose winter coat, and I tried it on in store and it fit. Then I got home and tried it on with a sweater and it was tight on my shoulders. I brought it back and they didn’t have any in store or other stores on line so they had to call a manager and special order it. They were pleasant and helpful getting me the right size ordered.

Mom was able to find some 3x Warm gear for this coming Winter. I am a size large and found a great Feminie Carhart Sweater and some great gloves. There were many workers and they all greeted us. Which made this massive store much easier for my elderly Mother to navigate. Happy Shopping.

Girlfriend loved it. Expensive as expected for high end clothing but other things were cheaper. It is more of an attraction than a store.

Update after contacting the main manager Jason Mach. He was quick to call me back regarding the incident after I waited a few days to cool off. Mind you I do have healthy respect for anyone in the customer service industry so I don’t make any habit of flying off the handle or making a scene. I try to calmly ask questions and let the other person realize their error. Jason acknowledged my concerns and had already spoken with the junior management team and how I was treated. Sounds like they even went to him before I called and they reviewed the incident. As unintentional as the two front line managers were in their intentions, it did not excuse the situation they created. I can tell some coaching was done on how to handle each customer with respect and calmly. Jason again apologized after listening to a few points I wanted to share…and he did above and beyond to make up for my frustration. Lessons were learned. I will continue doing business at Scheels. Thank you to all the team for striving to improve. This was the incident originally…. the worst customer experience and it was management people who created the issues! Two managers I had to prove wrong and then neither apologized until I explained how they made me feel criminal! For an error they were making and all while my customer service desk lady was handling everything swimmingly! These managers were inconsiderate, made excuses for being both inaccurate and inconsiderate! I was shaking from the stress and then from being upset that they were teaming up and telling me I was wrong when clearly they made an assumption! I will be discussing this with upper management because they refused to get a higher manager to address my concern of how terrible they just treated me and how wrong they were! Very frustrating and embarrassing! Thank you to the yellow shirt who absolutely knew what she was doing and calmly did it. Those other two managers with the high energy and overpowering voices that weren’t listening to either myself or the yellow shirt should be given additional training! I feel attacked and like I was trying to steal something over a boot voucher from the largest employer in the Red River valley! I’m positive Scheels wants to do business with us! That was frightening to be the customer being treated so poorly and like I was wrong. They treated all of us like we were wrong and everything pointed to nothing being our faults. They assumed I work for a different company, who apparently doesn’t do business with them anymore. I had to tell her I don’t work for the company she assumed before reading the heading on my voucher! Then she tried to find any other discrepancies. Then she left as if her work was done and she did a good job! No apology. Wow! Last update/comment regarding the last few lines in my original review; this front end manager I’m positive learned a valuable lesson on how to be more inquisitive and calm about matters like these. They have excellent senior management leading and growing their skills.
