The Country Bookshop is a locally-owned and operated bookshop in the heart of downtown Southern Pines, North Carolina. We are known for small-town atmosphere, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. We are the avid readers’ paradise; we carry a large selection of classics, bestsellers, and every genre under the sun. New books arrive daily! You’ll also find unique gifts, cards, and knick-knacks. There’s so much to discover- come see us to explore the joy shopping local!
We also engage with the community to promote the love of reading! The Country Bookshop hosts weekly storytime for little ones, author events, and visit with students at Moore County Public Schools. The Country Bookshop has been around since 1953. We believe it to be a gem to the Sandhills area and are constantly striving to be the best bookshop in town.
