Clean, well stocked, great customer service, but not many customers for a Saturday morning.

5/5 stars – Visited February 2026
I drove over to Belk at Crabtree Valley Mall specifically to shop for my petite 91-year-old mother-in-law, and I’m so glad I did! Finding truly petite clothing that’s modest, comfortable, and stylish for an elderly lady is always a challenge, but Belk came through beautifully.
I found two adorable Kim Rogers shirts in her exact petite size — soft, well-made, and perfect for her. The petite section was easy to browse, which made the whole trip stress-free. The store was clean, bright, and easy to navigate even with the remodel work just getting started.
The associates were friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable, especially with the current sales and my Belk coupon.
If you have a petite mom, grandma, or mother-in-law, this Belk is a hidden gem in the Triangle. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve shopped the What Goes Around Comes Around section multiple times and have actually had great experiences in the past, including at another Belk location. I come to this mall often just to walk and browse, and I frequently stop by this section while casually looking for my next luxury bag. The associates are usually friendly and low-pressure, which I really appreciate.
Unfortunately, my experience today was very different.
I wasn’t planning to buy anything, just browsing, and I told the first associate who approached me near the back of the section that I was only looking. Later, another employee kindly helped me grab a bag to see up close, but after a moment I decided it wasn’t for me and went to hand it back. The first associate intercepted us, insisted on taking it, and then became very pushy.
She made multiple comments about working on commission and even asked if I planned to buy a bag “from her or the other associate,” which felt awkward and unnecessary since I had already said I wasn’t shopping to purchase. After that, she hovered and followed me around the area, making me feel pressured and watched instead of comfortable.
What’s most disappointing is that this isn’t my first uncomfortable interaction with this same associate, she has come across as rude during previous visits as well. It really changes the vibe of what’s supposed to be a fun, relaxed browsing experience.
I understand commission-based sales, but customers shouldn’t feel pressured or questioned just for looking. Really disappointing compared to the positive experiences I’ve had before.
Update:
I’m writing a follow-up to my review from February 12th regarding my experience in the What Goes Around Comes Around section. Unfortunately, I returned to the store today to browse bags again and had another negative interaction with the same associate, whose name I now know is Khadijah.
She approached me and asked if I needed help. I politely told her that I would not be purchasing a bag through her because of how rude she was to me during my previous visit. Instead of handling that professionally, she began raising her voice at me in the middle of the store, repeatedly saying she had never met me, never helped me, and was never rude to me.
This was very uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially considering that my February 12th review was specifically about my interaction with her. I did not raise my voice or create a scene, and I was surprised by how quickly the situation escalated.
I have had positive experiences with this section at other Belk locations, which is why this is especially disappointing. I hope management addresses this because customers should not feel uncomfortable simply browsing.
Shopping on the North Pole.
Today I went to Belk and to my surprise the store was freezing cold. It was so cold that I elected not to shop the intended items I was looking for. I had made a list of items I wanted to get at Belk but only got a few. Going into a fitting room and feeling icy air hitting your skin is absolutely horrible. After asking an employee why it was so cold in the store, I was told by multiple people that the heating has been broken for months.
What a shame to let your employees suffer in the cold and don’t even allow them to wear heavy sweaters in the store.
