  Would do zero stars if I could. I was at belks today with my husband and 2 children. I was made to feel uncomfortable, unsafe and as if I were a criminal doing something wrong in a matter of minutes when in fact I was waiting on my family to purchase the items so I could get back to work. We were in a hurry bc I brought them to the store while on my lunch break. My husband was in line to pay for our clothes while I went to my jeep and pulled it to the front waiting on them. I wasn't parked there no longer than 1 min and 30 seconds handling a work situation on the phone when a tall bald black man who never gave me his name only identified himself as the " store Manager" blocked my jeep in. He jumps out of his car and starts rapid fire questioning me why was I parked there? Did I have an order? What was I doing? In the confusion of trying to tell him I'm waiting on my husband and children he calls inside to his employees making it as if I was doing nefarious things. Meanwhile my husband is inside paying for 100 bucks worth of clothes he hears everything. They were calling the cops on me . For what? Bc I was parked in front of the store. For less than 4 mins. What a waste of police officers time and tax payers money. My husband came out and I told him how I was made to feel unsafe and uncomfortable. I should return every bit of this merchandise. Instead I'll never spend another penny in belks. The manager needs to get off his powertrip scaring innocent woman.

  Go there and only have one cashier open while the others stand around talking and ignoring customers.

  In a time when retail stores are declining, I received good customer service and they had a reasonable inventory.

  I'm tired of the Belk in Mount Airy, North Carolina. There are never any registers open. You have to walk to the other side of the store to find one open.
