  The worst photography experience of my life. My wife and I knew more about photography than the lazy "person" taking our pictures. She did not bother to tell my wife to fix her hair or straighten our clothes out or anything like a real photographer would do. She just snapped the pictures away and you can tell in most of the pictures that we were not ready. It was a horrible experience and we want our money back. We would love to file a formal complaint and we were also racially discriminated. Do not ever have your pictures taken here.

  I had a terrible experience at JCPenney at Southpoint Mall in Durham, largely due to the behavior of the manager, Adam. I attempted to purchase a luggage set that was marked with a sticker stating “Up to 80% Off.” The luggage sets were placed within the wrong ticket signage, which clearly indicated the deep discount. Based on the posted signage and after doing my own math (before tax), the total came to under $150, which aligned with the advertised promotion. When I reached the upstairs checkout, the discount was suddenly questioned. Instead of addressing the store’s signage error professionally, Adam was rude, dismissive, and confrontational in front of several customers. He refused to walk over and verify the signage or apply the appropriate discount, despite the fact that the merchandise was clearly placed under incorrect pricing by the store. What made this experience even more upsetting is that I am pregnant, and the interaction became unnecessarily stressful. There was no effort to de-escalate, show empathy, or resolve the issue respectfully. As a woman of color, I left feeling targeted, disrespected, and dismissed. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was shocking. I do not recommend shopping at this JCPenney, especially if you have to interact with this manager. Customers should not be embarrassed or spoken down to over a pricing issue that was caused by misplaced and mismatched store signage.

  Management is unprofessional, passive-aggressive, and will call you nasty names. Can't speak of individual floor staff, but the place will never function properly if the same management continues to operate the facility. Will never do a contract with this location ever again.

She went above and beyond to help me find something that I am now happy with, and I will definitely be coming back again soon.🫂 her customer service was amazing …
