❗️Resharing because they took my last review down:❗️ Tried to donate a couch that we had originally purchased from this location, in the same condition it was sold to us. We were making several trips and told the man working there that we would bring the feet back on the next trip because we had to remove them to get the couch through the door and forgot them at the house. He told us after we had already unloaded the couch that we could not leave it there and would need to take it back with us, put the feet back on, and return. We did exactly that and came back shortly after with the feet attached. When we pulled back up with the sofa, the same man turned around and brought a lady (different staff member) out. She told us the condition of it was unacceptable. (we purchased it from habitat in the same condition) This resulted in multiple unnecessary trips and a lot of wasted time, despite us following the instructions we were given. The communication was inconsistent and frustrating, and the entire situation could have been avoided if expectations were clearly stated from the beginning. I won’t be donating here and I encourage others to donate to different organizations in the area that actually appreciate your donations and don’t make you do more work than you have to.

We attempted to donate a couch that we originally purchased from this same organization, in the same condition it was sold to us. Because we were making multiple trips, we explained to the staff member that we had to remove the feet to get the couch through the door and accidentally left them at home. We told him we would bring them back on the next trip. He told us after we had already unloaded the couch that we would need to take it back, put the feet on, and return—so that’s exactly what we did. When we came back with the couch fully reassembled, the same man disappeared, brought another staff member outside, and suddenly we were told the couch had “too much wear and tear.” If that were the case, why wasn’t this mentioned the first time—before we were made to haul the couch back and forth? There was no assistance from staff at any point, only changing explanations and inconsistent communication. The entire experience felt disorganized and dismissive, and it honestly makes you not want to donate to this organization again.
