  Took some jewelry I had picked up at estate sales over the years to sell. They were very nice, accommodating, and fair. I would definitely recommend this jeweler! They also have an incredible inventory of very beautiful rings.

  Sam Hanna at Malak Jewelry located in the Arboretum Shopping Center is amazing at helping with any of your jewelry needs or wants. He is like family to us. Started with my beautiful engagement ring. Everyone who works there is so welcoming and ready to assist with your needs. Highly recommend!

  Our initial experience with Malak Jewelers was great: Sam was patient and kind while we looked at different stones and settings for my engagement ring. We thought we were making a great choice when we decided to buy the ring here. Unfortunately, that was not the case. My fiancé bought the ring in early December, in the middle of the Christmas rush, and the ring was completed in half the estimated time. After he proposed, I noticed that the setting was poorly done: there was a visible gap under a prong, large enough to easily slip a piece of paper between the prong and stone. We figure this poor setting was due to a rushed jeweler trying to pump out Christmas orders. When I noticed the gap, I immediately brought the ring in to be fixed. The woman at the counter took my ring back to the jeweler and returned a few minutes later stating that the setting was fine and there was nothing to be tightened. I showed her that I could slip a piece of paper under the prong and told her that it catches on my hair, clothes, etc. and she said I can always bring it back if the issue continues. At this point, I felt dejected. Two weeks later, I came back in with my fiancé and the script changed: suddenly they were actually concerned. The owner got involved and took the ring to fix it. We got the ring back and the prong is now flush with the stone (yay!) but they scuffed the top of the band while doing the repair. This once again highlights a lack of attention to detail and ultimately lead me to write this review. Note: I am confident there were no scuffs on the top of the band when we dropped it off, there were just a few on the bottom from normal wear. I am very careful with my ring, especially before the repair when I was worried that the stone would fall out. I am so sad that my fiancé spent his hard-earned money on a ring that I can't help but feel a flood of negative emotions when I look too closely at it. This ring is supposed to symbolize one of the happiest times of my life and our commitment to each other, but it has turned into a source of anxiety and regret.

  Malak Jewelers has lovely kind staff, and unique pieces. In particular, in addition to diamonds they have high karat gold and Indian pieces that are not easy to find in the United States. They also have vintage pieces which are unusual and the inventory seems to be updated frequently which makes stopping in extra fun. The owner was incredibly helpful, providing information about repairing a chain and an antique charm in my collection, and immediately also replaced a bolt clasp on a necklace chain I purchased. It was a wonderful experience and I really felt welcome and part of the Malak family. If you enjoy jewelry and exploring pieces with kind people who truly are jewelry experts it is worth a special trip!
